The end of summer??!! Bummer!!!
August is a memory. Now, September greets us…
We at Neiman Marcus recently hosted our BFF’s (Best Fashionista Friends) over for bubbly and bites at our “Mixed Media Happy Hour” to showcase the top trends for women and men for Fall/Winter 2015. Featured friends included Chloe, Delpozo, Brunello Cucinelli, Dries Van Noten, Devon Leigh, Marc Jacobs, Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Chanel and Tom Ford.
To quote the legendary Vogue Magazine editor, Diana Vreeland: “The eye has to travel.” Please join our Neiman Marcus well-traveled eye as we present fall’s forecast. A shift in silhouette, a play with proportions, and incorporating motifs from different cultures and eras.
Folklorica: A global array of embroidery and embellishment, patchwork and lace, flourishes and fringe, and enough ruffles to make any Victorian blush.
The Last Layer: Dusters, capes, wraps, and ponchos, TOP it off! The first layer seen in winter is the last layer you put on…
Full-Bodies Reds: Crimson, carmine, and claret. Rich ruby and racy rose, Bordeaux and Beaujolais. Everything goes with wine! (And for lips, too!)
White Out: We’re forecasting a wintry mix. The super versatile non-color can be thoroughly modern or as dreamy as a snow drift.
Modern Fur: Faux fur? Fur real? It’s a must! Whether a statement piece or plush trim – updated and a bit undone, these aren’t your grandmother’s furs.
The Return of the Flare: Do you dare to flare? The leg-elongating 70’s sensation returns for a command performance from denim to dressed up.
The Saddle Bag: No horsing around here! Our handbag favorite rides again. It’s all about single shoulder or cross body with studs, whip stitching and patchwork.
Chunky Heels: These give your midi, maxi, or flared look a solid foundation. Proportion is everything and chunky heels balance it all.
Ear Candy: Change it up with huggies, jackets, crawlers, and cuffs. Unmatched sets and multiples are best in pearl and jet.
The Well-Dressed Leg: Time to show some “sheer” – luxury sheers, fishnets, crochets, dots and lace.
Full-Bodied Reds: What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. He’s a red hottie, too!
Velvet: Not just for night anymore. The luxurious texture speaks volumes during the day. Why wait until dark?
The Mix: The intersection of sportswear and sartorial. Track pants and tailored. Hoodies and hounds tooth.
Go Green: Mix those greens, Boy! Shades of olive, loden, pine, spruce, and teal make a case for mixed greens.
Hoodies: Fall’s essential layer, worn inside, underneath, or outside your favorite fall items.
Backpacks: A hands-free option for the guys. For “extra cool” carry both straps on one shoulder.
Biker Jeans: Denim minus the cowboy. Go ahead and grab a new pair – we know you love your denim!
A Shoe Wardrobe: Sneakers, lace-ups, loafers, drivers, and boots. Man cannot live on “tread” alone…
