Recently retired WDIV-TV anchorwoman Carmen Harlan was quoted saying, “I thought I was retired, but I’ve been anything but.” In the fall of 2016 she announced her retirement, citing the desire to have more time for her three grandchildren while they’re still young. But she’s also been traveling back and forth from Detroit to New York working on a major fashion project, an elegant, versatile shirt for women called the Carmen Blouse. Well, stick a fork in it, because the first collection is done. With the support of her children, Jessica Hall and Joey Cobb, and her husband, Andrew Henry, in a few weeks, Carmen will host a private launch party for her blouse. As it says on the invitation and on the blouse label, “… and now bring on the fun!” We’ll keep you posted.
