MOTOR CITY WHEELS FOR MEALS @ George Matick Chevrolet
May 20 @ 5:30 pm – 10:00 pm

The first annual Motor City Wheels for Meals event will be held May 21 at George Matick Chevrolet in Redford Township. Join organizers to help raise funds to feed hungry and homebound seniors. The Cocktail Reception at the dealership’s brand-new car wash will support two Area Agency on Aging (AAA) organizations that operate Meals on Wheels programs: the Detroit AAA and Wayne County Senior Services. The benefiting organizations partner to serve about 6,000 meals daily. At this moment, however, with 1,000 seniors on a waiting list, the programs lack sufficient resources to expand their food services. Live music, a strolling dinner, a special giveaway, and ribbon-cutting will highlight the evening, co-sponsored by Wayne County Executive Warren Evans and Mayor of Detroit Mike Duggan. Tickets are $125 and can also be purchased in groups and at sponsorship levels. Purchase a ticket or sponsor the event by contacting 313-765-1516 or visiting https://www.thesenioralliance.org/
