The 12th Annual Red Tie Ball

The 12th Annual Red Tie Ball was held Saturday, too, at the Dearborn Inn. More than 300 guests attended the Great Gatsby-themed event that began with a cocktail reception and silent auction followed by a sit-down dinner of beef Wellington and grilled salmon duet.

There was a short program and keeping with the Gatsby theme, guests enjoyed a Speak-easy room with dancing. Tickets to the event were $275.

The silent auction raised more than $10,000, and the live auction and cash for kids raised over $72,000. Overall, the event grossed more than $327,000 to benefit the Center for Exceptional Families and the NICU at Beaumont Hospital in Dearborn. The event chairman was Patrick A. Rugiero, executive director of Roman Village Restaurant Group.
