05 Sep Fall Forward Fashion Trends for 2017
By V Lynne Smith
Before the heat of Summer gives way to the cool crispness of Fall, now is the time to discover a few of the hottest fashion trends for the coming season. Bold, dazzling and luxurious would be the perfect way to describe the hottest trends for Fall 2017. There’s a little something for everyone.
Colors for Fall are subtle yet warm. Stand out shades include hues of pink, a refreshing golden lime, and a bright marina blue. Look for classic autumn shades to stand tall with names like navy peony, autumn maple, and a beautiful grenadine red. Muted shades of Red will definitely allow you to stand out in the crowd whether you’re wearing this fabulous fit and flare dress from Oscar de la Renta or statement over the knee boots by Stuart Weitzman.
Fabrics will be luxurious with a whimsical flair. Feathers and fur will accentuate everything from sexy skirts to high stepping stilettos. Velvet will become the go-to fabric for this season, whether it’s classic or crushed don’t be afraid to experiment with the sumptuous fabric. Pair this Roland Mouret velvet top with your favorite jean or A-line skirt for a look that’s sure to turn heads. These Paul Andrew Peacock Feather and Suede booties will make any shoe lover clutch her pearls with excitement.
Trending patterns will go from wild leopards to fabulous florals. These prints will be found in a variety of styles on shoes, handbags and sexy little dresses. This metallic leopard embroidered dress from the Michael Kors Collection is a stunning piece ready for any night out on the town. Floral red bottoms are a must have for any shoe aficionado and this velvet floral bootie from Christian Louboutin doesn’t disappoint. The multiple floral colors will provide many options for designing the perfect look.
If you’re looking for that over the top, glamorous kind of vibe, consider the Saint Laurent Over-The-Knee Crystal Boot. These boots are my fantasy pick for most fabulous fall trend. The slouchy boots are encrusted with 3000 crystals and a 4-inch heel. The boot gained celebrity status after appearing on the runway during Paris Fashion Week earlier this year. If this boot doesn’t set your set your soul free, I don’t know what will. Kate Spade once said that, “Playing dress-up begins at age 5, and never really ends”. Judging by the trends for this Fall we will be playing dress up throughout the season.
