Beginning in 2014 as a celebration of Detroit’s 313th birthday to benefit youth
programs at The Matrix Center, “313 in the D” has become the premier summer
rooftop celebration for this community.
The Friends of the Matrix Center Committee proudly presents the fourth annual “313 in the D” event 5:30-9 p.m. Thursday, July 27, at 3Fifty Terrace (on the Music Hall rooftop).
Guests of “313 in the D: Detroit’s Birthday Bash” will enjoy heavy appetizers,
a welcome drink, cash bar, entertainment by DJ Chris Guyer, dancing, and a silent auction, all while overlooking the panoramic views of Detroit’s signature skyline. The emcee for the night is Joey Radio from Mojo in the Morning on Channel 955.
Tickets to “313 in the D” are $50 each and can be purchased online at matrixhumanservices.org/event/313inthed/. Sponsorship opportunities are
still available. To sponsor the event, contact Kerrie Mitchell at 313-831-1000 or kmitchell@ matrixhs.org.
Established in 2006, the Matrix Center resides in the heart of the Osborn Community, where nearly half of all youth live in poverty. Matrix Center has a track record of success in Head Start, after school and summer programs, adult recreation, emergency needs, college readiness classes, and much more. All
of the programs value educating children, supporting families, and rebuilding neighborhoods. The center, in collaboration with more than 150 mission partners, serves more than 4,600 children and adults each month with an array of needs assessments, supportive services, and referrals designed to break the cycle of poverty.
