Appreciation

I walked into a nearby neighborhood park on a hot summer day. The aroma of Sunday barbecue filled the air. I was suddenly greeted with the sounds and screams of excitement from over 300 boys and girls, cheering for two of our town’s youngest, hottest, up and coming new music stars, Brooklyn Queen and Que9.  Brooklyn is 12 and Que is 13. They just recorded a new song called “

,” that seems to be tailor-made for their fans. They did a live video shoot at the park. And if that doesn’t excite you, how about Brooklyn’s youtube video of Keke Taught Me” has over 3.7 million views.

Within less than 15 minutes, yes, i was dancing, too. BMB Entertainment went all out to host this fan appreciation event for the kids at Beechwood Park in Southfield. It included a raffle, dance contest, bounce house, free food and face painting. Also in support of the young duo, lots of other aspiring musicians came out to represent.

If this audience’s reaction is an indication of what the future holds for these two, only time can tell how quickly they will become stars.  For more information contact Brooklyn Queen and Que9 on their Instagram @Brooklynqueen03 and @que9bmb, respectively.
